Y’allhalla Roller Derby is hosting an all-level skills clinic on Sunday, November 2, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM right here in the Dallas–Fort Worth area!
Whether you’re brand new or a seasoned skater, this clinic is your chance to level up your blocking and jamming game while supporting your local Y’allhalla crew. Expect a high-energy morning full of tips, strategies, and hands-on practice designed to sharpen your skills and boost your confidence on the track. Get out of your comfort zone and learn something new while getting real time feedback from many of your favorite Y’allhalla skaters!

Meet Your Clinic Coaches
Nancy (She/Her) - Head Clinic Coach
Has been skating for 10 yrs. Started with the East Texas Bombers and Backwoods Bombshells, after 2 seasons she transferred into ACRD and eventually wanted to grow her skill level with the Dallas Derby Devils.
Currently she skates with DDD Army of Darkness as a pivot, DDD Slaughters, Team BadA** playing all rule sets; WFTDA, banked, and USARS.
As well as skating, she is also highly involved in coaching. Currently she coaches the Y’allhalla Men's Roller Derby, she guest coached at RollerCon, and she has traveled to many leagues in the area to help run clinics or practices.
She is well versed in all roles and it helps her bring a wealth of knowledge, understanding and differentiation into her coaching and skating ability.
G.I. JOel (He/Him) - Head Blocker Coach
G.I. Joel has been skating since 2007 with Dallas Deception, then he went to Denton County Outlaws who later was renamed Texas Men’s Roller Derby. After a merge with Dallas Deception, in 2016, they took 3rd at MRDA Champs and then took 3rd two more times between 2017 and 2019.
Now Joel skates for Y’allhalla travel team in the MRDA, Villain Era Open Gender team, Fuego Latino’s Open Gender Team, Awesome Skate Stars Banked Track Open Gender team, and Satellites USARS Open Gender National Champion team. He coaches DDD All-Stars for Dallas’ WFTDA Travel Team, Team USA Women’s USARS, and Fuego Latino’s World Cup Team.
Joel has also skated for Team Mexico Men’s National Team, World Champion Team USA Men’s USARS Team, State Wars Champion Men’s Team Texas, and has coached Team Texas.
Lady Talley (She/HER) - Head Jammer Coach
Lady Talley comes to us from the sport of inline speed skating, where she has won multiple national titles, set several records, and competed as a member of Team USA at the World Championships. Lady Talley started playing roller derby around 2017, but took a bit of a break during and after the pandemic. Now that she is back on her quads, Lady Talley plays for Y'allhalla Roller Derby, Dallas Derby Devils home teams, and Villain Era, an open gender Texas-based travel team. Lady Talley specializes in quick jukes, awkward footwork, and (of course) speed and endurance.
