DDD presents Derby Inferno!
It’s Saturday night and we’ve got the fever! Get down and get funky as your Dallas Derby Devils skate into the NYTEX Sports Centre to juke and jive all night long! It’s going to be a hot night of Disco Derby Inferno!
The Death Row Rumblers, now 1 and 1 after their defeat of the Wrecking Crew, will take on the Suicide Shifters, now 0 and 2 after their loss to the Slaughterers on June 13th. Regardless of win or loss at the June 13th bout, both teams played a most impressive game and this bout can go either way! Are the Rumblers going to execute the Shifters or will the greasy green and black Shifters turn around and run the orange clad outlaws down? You can bet that the platform shoes are coming off and someone is going to go home crying!
The second bout of the night will pit two undefeated teams at each others’ throats. The Undefeated Champions of 2007 and 2008, and so far undefeated in 2009, Slaughterers will take on the 2009 undefeated High Seas Hotties. Both teams have proven they will do whatever it takes to hold on to that undefeated title. The Hotties are determined to take the championship this year and, so far this season, have made every team walk the plank. Meanwhile, the defending champions have not been murdering their opponents like expected and have had, at times, looked like they may not be able to pull ahead to victory. But they aren’t twice undefeated champions because the look good in pink, these ladies will slaughter anyone that gets in their way.

Big Bad Sports Daddy
Our friends BigBadSportsDaddy.com covered the June 13th bout and once again did a great job, they've even got some play by play action!
What an amazing couple of bouts! All 4 teams battled it out to the bitter end! Final scores found the Slaughterers victorious with 86 points over the Suicide Shifters with 59. And barely squeezing out a win the Death Row Rumblers win 75 over the Wrecking Crew's 69.
The night started out with the Shifters facing off against the undefeated Slaughterers and the first 10 minutes of the period it looked like the Suicide Shifters had it in the to take the undefeated champs down. The 2008 last place team was ahead in points and gaining momentum. However, the Slaughterers who seemed surprised to be behind, dug down deep and brought the score even and then took the lead just moments before the half. Upon return the commanded the track and increased their lead. The Slaughterers took the win and remain undefeated. However, you have got to hand it to the Suicide Shifters for taking the biggest baddest team on the league head to head and commanding an early lead. Lead Jammers for the Slaughterers were Keltic Kamikaze and The Pusher. Major Blocking for the girls in pink provided by the Smash Sisters, Kick Face Trace and The Shocker.
Death Row Rumblers and Wrecking Crew fans were treated to an amazing night of derby! Both teams blocked hard, hit harder and employed the same strategies like pushing the jammer out of bounds and slowing down, doing their best to slow the pack down when the jammer is tied up in the front and good old fashioned knock down, drag out hip checks. All night long the fight was on but at the end it came down to just a few points as both teams had to check the score to see who won. The Death Row Rumblers took the win over the Wrecking Crew, 75 to 69.
It was a great night of derby at the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills! Make sure you come out and check out our next bout July 11th, for when the Dallas Derby Devils present "Derby Inferno".

Dallas Derby Devil All Star and High Seas Hottie Barooski was surprised at the exhibition bout by TLC's What Not To Wear crew and was shortly whisked away to New York to appear on the show!
It's so obvious now looking back at all the photo's of the years past, Barooski was always the one person in the wrong uniform. Hell look at this year's team photo for the High Seas Hotties....
We love our Barooski and can't wait to see her national TV debut on TLC's What Not To Wear. Keep an eye on the website for details and times.
DDD Presents Got Derby?
Wow! What a great night of derby! The night started out with a great bout between the Suicide Shifters and the High Seas Hotties. The main bout of the night pit 2008 undefeated champion Slaughterers against 2nd place Wrecking Crew. While all the teams played with passion and skill the Hotties defeatetd the Shifters, 117 to 61 and the Slaughterers skated away with another win over the Crew, 81 tot 41.
The first bout of the evening started out with some hard hitting action and great strategy employed by the High Seas Hotties by forcing Shifters Power Jammer, Roxy LaRoo, to cut the track, getting a major penalty which earns her a trip to the penalty box. Then the Hotties jammer would immediately cut the track or get some other major in order to be sent to the box forcing the jammerless jam. The whole time the Hotties had two of their power jammers on the track, one with the star and one laying in wait. The Shifters soon caught on and while they did their best to prevent it or ensure that they also had two jammers on the track, it was difficult for the Shifters to keep the Hotties off their tailpipes and the Hotties led the Shifters at half-time 53 to 25.
When the Slaughterers hit the track and the Crew lined up next to them you could feel the tension. The Slaughterers have been undefeated for 2 years and don't plan on letting the streak end, even though they are skating without some key skaters and have several new skaters. The Wrecking Crew fought hard last year to come in second and they are not about to just hand anything to anyone. The skating was slow and deliberate as both teams tried to out strategize each other. The Slaughterers, used to rolling right through other teams, had a hard time getting their jammers out front to score. While that sounds like a great opportunity for the Crew to take control, the Slaughterers defense kept the Wrecking Crew's jammer pinned down and unable to score. At the half the normally high scoring Slaughterers led the Crew 35 to 12.
