We announce every bout that the girls are doing this on their own - for the love of derby; yours and theirs. Thus injures are on their own as well. We make this announcement every bout, because someone is hurt or has the potential for serious injury every bout.
So, the Dallas Derby Devils Injured Skaters Fund is set up to support our girls on the mend.

The Slaughterers beat the first challenge of the ACRD with a 41 over 10 victory only to lose to the Hot Rod Honeys 65 to 2.
Thanks for another great season Devil fans!! We had our 2008 awards ceremony at Club Dada and had a good time enjoying the end of the season, it was a true derby event, drinking, fun, smack talking, laughs, crying, fists, hip checks, more drinking and of course good times had by all!!

2009 Try Outs!!!!
This season’s tryouts are coming up quickly and will be held in three parts. Following is a description of the try-out process.
Tuesday, October 28, 2008 – Orientation The orientation will be held at 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p. m. at Mid-Cities Skateland, 1333 S. Beltline, Irving, TX. During this meeting, we will describe in detail what you can expect as a member of the Dallas Derby Devils. Please bring a copy of your identification with you and your $35 non-refundable try-out fee with you. After the orientation, you are welcome to stay and observe a DDD practice.
Saturday, November 1, 2008 – Skill Day The skill Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mid-Cities Skateland, 1333 S. Beltline, Irving, TX. During the skill day, we will demonstrate and provide instruction on each of the skills you will be evaluated on during the tryout, Sections 1-3 from the WFTDA Minimum Skills Requirement. You will work with members of the league to ensure that you are able to complete each skill correctly.
Sunday, November 2, 2008 – Try-Out The try-out will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Mid-Cities Skateland, 1333 S. Beltline, Irving, TX. During the try-out, each skater will be asked to complete each skill from Sections 1-3 from the WFTDA Minimum Skills Requirement.
